My name is Lewis D. Mann. I started in 1998 with a company called HiLine Homes. The owners of HiLine Homes were originally framers for Adair Homes out of Oregon.

I worked for HiLine Homes a little over three years as an independent sales consultant. When my expectations for owning a small part of the company were not realized, I made a phone call to some folks who wanted to duplicate the concept of HiLine Homes. However, they sorely lacked the knowledge or connections to successfully start their business on their own. I agreed, with some reservation, to join Reality Homes Inc out of Fife for a 10% stake in it and at the time, to be a principle. The latter of which never materialized. After three years, 3 branches and close to 400-500 or so homes sold and literally assisting over a 1000 customers sadly, we had a growing difference as to the vision of the company and so we parted ways.

Both companies had their strengths and their weakness. One made NO changes with a few upgrades. The other did whatever to get the job but created a really tough spot for themselves, clients, vendors, contractors and lenders with delays.

All of this taught me a couple of life’s lessons. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. The other is, when a company prices homes at really cheap prices, it really is a cheap home.

True Built Home has as a bedrock foundation that the customer is the most important piece of the puzzle. With that simple but powerful thought, the company will grow and be successful.
