Choose Your Floor Plan

The Process

  1. Choose your plan

  2. Select your upgrades

  3. Build your house on your own lot

You can save thousands by building your own house. But most people don't have the know-how to do it. That's where True Built Home comes in!

We have a large selection of already designed home plans for you to choose from. That means you don't have to hire architects, engineers and other professionals that are required for that process. We've done it all for you, all you have to do is choose your home!

Next, is the building materials. If you were a full time builder, you would have key relationships with the best suppliers so that you could get the best deals possible, while everyone else pays marked-up, retail prices. Well, good news, True Built Home has already done the negotiating, buying and securing of all the raw materials needed to build your new home!

We'll deliver the materials to your lot and take care of building the home with your standard and upgraded options.

(See below for more information about ways we save you money)

All you need is a lot on which we can build your new house. If you already have one, great. If not, we can help you with that too! Team up with our Real Estate pros and they can work with you to find and purchase the perfect building site in your desired area.

Now, most builders have relationships with banks and lenders who know how to get the right finance package for the project. True Built Home also has relationships with lenders who know us, know our process, and most importantly, want to work with you to finance your True Built Home!

True Built Home is your total Building Partner! Every step of the way we've got you covered. There is no better way to build your own home. We've designed the whole process to be a win-win situation for you and everyone involved! That's why we say that we know "a better way".

Now that we've talked about what we do, let's talk about the role you play.

Here's what you do

True Built Home is an on your lot home builder.  As such, there are parts of the home project that are not provided, and must be supplied by you, the customer.  These include; land, most permits, site development costs, excavation, utilities, house painting, decks, sidewalks, construction cleanup and possibly some other costs.  However, every project, and piece of land is different.

As an example, if a person is replacing a mobile home, with previously installed utilities, the additional costs to build and finish your home, may be around $12,000 to $15,000.  On the other hand, if a person needed to install a well and septic on their raw land the minimum price to complete the entire project would likely be around $25,000 to $30,000.  Of course there are many variables, such as possibly having to install a deeper well or a more expensive septic system, dealing with steep terrain, etc.  The list below shows more of these possible costs.  Please contact your nearest office, and we will do our best to detail every cost associated with your project.

Some good news is that likely all of these costs can be rolled into one construction loan.  It may even be possible for that loan to make a “land home package” of your entire project, with relatively little money out of pocket, whether you now own the land or not! Please see our lender page and read exactly how you may be able to do that.

The Process

We have created a step-by-step guide to ordering your home, what to expect after your purchase, and what you will see during construction. Our website offers education on this.  You will note from our interactive website, our enthusiastic and high standard, as to helpfulness from our sales staff and construction staff, that a True Built Home client is the center of our attention.

True Built Home was designed first for the client whom we feel, as other successful companies do, is the most important element to thrive in any business. We have been, and are driven to meet the needs and the wants of our purchasers and you will always find us helpful for you even if you choose another company. We are convinced that honesty has a drawing affect even when the answer is not one that you may want to hear. We hope to say “yes” more than “no” but we are realistic in our approach to affordable housing. Some clients think that they can get what they want, have consistent time frames with the building process, and to come in at budget projections; but have been sorely disappointed and actually suffered financial harm as a result from a lack of modesty on the part of some construction companies.

My depth of personal experience as a builder of on your lot homes gives you, the client, a distinct advantage to avoiding the mishaps of some who thought that they were buying their dream home only to be shocked that delays, cost overruns and mistakes with construction were duped in believing that “yes” was yes when actually it was a simple hook to the sale. True Built Home is convinced that certain business models are inherently doomed to failure because building for affordability has its limits.

Please do not make the mistake that hundreds of others have because they heard what they wanted to hear instead of what they needed to hear. Please feel free to contact me at with any questions regarding other builders in our industry and I will do my best to give you an unbiased opinion, even if it means that you take your business elsewhere. That is my guarantee to customer service.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at .
