Builders are preparing for new code changes that take effect July 1st. As a result, we are expecting that our home prices will be going up to reflect the costs incurred by these changes. The Building Industry Association of Washington is expecting these changes to raise costs as much as $10,000 or more! See a summary of these changes below.
If you are close to ordering but have been putting it off, we encourage you to consider ordering your home now. Plans submitted for permitting after that date will be required to follow the new codes and will therefore be hit with the new costs.
